It would have been even more fabulous if Emma could have whipped off the air cast and resumed normal activities, but alas, her work continues. Emma is such a trooper! She has been going to physical therapy two times a week and doing her exercises two times a day. A couple of weeks ago, she was so enthusiastic about walking without the cast that she sprained the front of her foot. That little bump in the road taught her (and us) to take it slow and steady. Since then, she has made great progress (thanks in large part to a doctor friend performing multiple Graston Technique treatments in his living room - so grateful!!)
Here she is working with her physical therapist...
Look... No Cast!!
Here's Maya patiently waiting, as always, during one of Emma's appointments
(it's been a long haul for her too)...
After our most recent trip to Children's, we went out to dinner where Maya lost a tooth! Here's Maya, the tooth, and the new space in her smile. :)

Hi Emma (and family)
It is so nice to SEE you without those crutches. For us, it is easy to see all the progress you've been making (thanks in part to the great photos). For you, we know it's has been a lot of patience and hard work. Slow and steady does win the race (according the the tortoise:) Keep up the good work. Soon you will be back to more and more of the things you've not been able to do. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
love and hugs,
Diane
